Privacy, in plain language

Effective October 2, 2026 · ReelWorx MissionReady

Two things you should know before anything else:

1. We capture data. Building your profile means we collect and process real information about you: your words, your service record, your contact details, and how you use the platform. Everything we capture is listed below, in plain language.

2. We will never sell your data to third parties. Not your profile, not your story, not your contact information, not lists built from any of it. Not for money, and not traded for advertising. If ReelWorx is ever acquired or merged, this promise binds the new owner too.

This platform exists to connect veterans with companies through story and alignment, not to harvest data. Companies pay to be here; your data is never the product.

What we capture, exactly

  • Contact details: your name, email, and optional phone number. A company receives your email and phone only when you accept its interview request. When you apply to a role, the company receives your name, your headline, a link to your profile, and a link to your resume, including through its own hiring system if it has connected one.
  • Your service record: branch, specialty, rank band (and grade, for senior officers), time in service, transition status, clearance if you list it, recognition, and the places you call home.
  • Your story, in your words: what you share while building your profile, by typing, speaking, or uploading a resume. Each part of the conversation, and any resume text, is sent to our AI provider to be read, and we save what it draws out (your story, skills, and record) to your profile, where you can see and edit all of it. We do not keep the full conversation transcript or the raw resume text on our servers; the conversation is kept on your own device so you can pick up where you left off. If you use voice, your audio is sent to our voice provider to be transcribed to text, and we do not keep the audio.
  • Assessment responses: your answers to the Career Alignment modules and the alignment read they produce. These are yours: they show on your own screens only, never on your public profile or to a company.
  • Photos and video you choose to add to your profile. We store and play them; we do not run facial or voice recognition on them.
  • Help and feedback: if you ask the help chat for a person, your message and the recent chat are sent to our team inbox so we can answer without asking again. Feedback you send through the app is saved so we can act on it.
  • Usage activity: actions on the platform (views, matches, outreach, interview requests) that make matching and honest reporting work.
  • Site traffic: page visits with the device type and referring site. We do not store your IP address; visits are counted with a one-way scrambled key.
  • Company information: workspace details, role postings, and public information about companies gathered from their websites to draft their profiles.
  • Payments (companies only) are handled by Stripe. We never see or store card numbers.

How we use it

  • To build your profile or workspace and run the matching that is the product.
  • To translate your experience into your profile using AI. Your words are processed by our AI provider (Anthropic), which is contractually prohibited from training its models on them. If you choose to talk instead of type, your voice and the guide’s spoken replies are processed by our voice provider (ElevenLabs). We have opted out of ElevenLabs using our data to train or improve its models. You are told this before you start talking, and typing is always available instead; nothing else changes.
  • To improve our alignment instruments by comparing reads against real hiring outcomes, in aggregate.
  • To build aggregate and de-identified insights: research, benchmarks, and reports about how military experience translates to civilian work. These never identify you, and we publicly commit to never re-identifying de-identified data and to requiring the same of anyone we share such insights with.
  • To show companies your story exactly the way you approved it. Employers see your profile and the facts you declared, never your assessment answers or results.

The lines we do not cross

  • We do not sell personal data, ever. We also do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, run third-party ad trackers, or build audiences for advertisers. Because we do not sell or share personal data, there is nothing to opt out of; if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, that stays true for you.
  • No biometrics. We do not create voiceprints, faceprints, or any other biometric identifier from your voice, photos, or video, and we do not use your voice to identify you.
  • We are not a background check. MissionReady is not a consumer reporting agency and does not provide background checks or consumer reports about anyone.
  • Nothing here auto-rejects anyone. Alignment reads start conversations; humans make decisions.
  • We do not ask for protected-class information (religion, politics, health or disability, family status, age) and our tools are built not to. If you volunteer something personal in your story, it stays your words: we never turn it into a data field, never use it in matching, and you can edit or remove it anytime.
  • Sponsored education offerings are always labeled as sponsored, and clicking one shares nothing about you with the partner beyond the visit itself.

Who touches your data

A small set of service providers process data to run this platform, under data-processing terms with each: authentication (Clerk), database hosting (Supabase), web hosting (Vercel), AI processing (Anthropic), voice transcription and narration (ElevenLabs), video hosting (Mux), email delivery (Resend), and payments (Stripe). For company content only, videos are rendered on Amazon Web Services, and a company can choose to share its own posts to LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok. That is the whole list, and this policy updates when it changes.

If our voice provider is unavailable, your device’s own voice and, where your browser supports it, on-device speech recognition take over. In that case nothing you say or read leaves your device. Where on-device recognition is not available, you type instead.

Emails we send, and how to stop them

  • Account and activity: messages about things that happened to you, like a company asking to meet you or a recap of activity on roles you own.
  • Reminders and the weekly growth email: at most two of these a week combined, never two within 48 hours, and the reminder sequences stop on their own.
  • Every one of these emails has a one-click unsubscribe that works without signing in, and Settings lets you change what arrives and how often. Companies can choose daily or weekly recaps.
  • Emails come from hello@missionready.jobs, and replies reach our team. We do not send text messages.

Cookies and your device

We use only cookies the site needs to work, such as keeping you signed in, plus first-party cookies that remember which shared link or partner brought you here (for up to 30 days). Your story in progress is saved in your browser on your own device so you can pick up where you left off. We use no advertising cookies and no third-party analytics.

How long we keep it

  • Your profile and everything in it are kept while your account exists, and you can edit or remove any part of it at any time.
  • When you delete your account, we delete your profile, story, assessment history, contact details, and the photos and videos you uploaded. Activity records we keep for audits and research are no longer tied to an account.
  • Copies held in our hosting providers’ routine backups expire on their normal schedule. Records the law requires us to keep, such as a company’s billing history, are kept only as long as required.

Who MissionReady is for

MissionReady is for adults: you must be 18 or older to use it, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If you believe someone under 18 has an account, write to hello@missionready.jobs and we will remove it.

Your controls

  • Edit any part of your profile, anytime, including every line of your story.
  • Control visibility: private, companies-only, or public. Nothing is public until you say so, and your alignment read never appears on your public profile.
  • Request a copy of your data, corrections, or full deletion of your account and data. Deletion removes your profile, story, and assessment history.
  • These controls are for everyone, in every state, not just where a law requires them. You can send a request yourself or through someone you authorize; we may ask you to confirm it is really you.
  • Using these rights never changes how MissionReady treats you or what you can use.
  • If we decline a request, we will tell you why, and you can ask us to look again by replying to that email. If you are still not satisfied, you can contact your state attorney general.

MissionReady is operated by ReelWorx. Questions or requests: write to hello@missionready.jobs. We respond to every request, and within 45 days at the latest. The rules for using MissionReady are in the Terms of Use.

This policy covers the MissionReady platform operated by ReelWorx. It will be refined with counsel as the platform grows; material changes will update the effective date above, and the no-sale commitment does not weaken with any revision.
